Preferred application deadline: March 20, 2012.
Apply by March 20 and Pardes will waive your $50 application fee! After March 20, applications and financial aid are processed on a rolling basis.
In addition to submitting a completed application form, applicants need two letters of recommendation, a recent passport sized photograph, a transcript [unofficial (i.e. photocopy)is fine] if applicant has been a student within the past 5 years, a resume if available, and a non-refundable application fee of $50.
Note: The on-line application will require that you submit 3 essays to the following questions:
1. Describe the various way in which you express your commitment to Judaism.
2. Describe your motivations for seeking admission to Pardes and engaging in a year of Torah learning.
3. Describe the influences that you consider most formative of your current world view and goals.
Please draft these essays in a Word document and then copy them into the on-line form. Please note that the essay questions are an important part of the application process and each answer should be between 350-800 words.
Applications will not be processed until the application fee has been received. Please make checks payable to "The Pardes Institute." Letters of recommendation can be emailed, and photos may be scanned and emailed, or sent by post.

Admission Requirements
A B.A. from an accredited institution, and references from two individuals familiar with your study skills and/or Jewish commitment.
Hebrew Requirement
Students are required to attend an Ulpan (intensive Hebrew course) in July or August. An exemption may be granted to students with a strong Hebrew background.

Tuition for the Academic Year 2012-2013
Full year
$5,750.
Single semester
$3,700.
Tuition at Pardes covers classes as well as extracurricular activities such as
Shabbat programs, tours and special seminars. It does not cover housing, medical
insurance, books, Hebrew ulpan fees or other living expenses. As a guideline, students should budget approximately $300 - $350 per month for housing. Medical insurance, books and Hebrew ulpan fees add up to between $650 - $1,000 over the course of the year. Living expenses vary depending on students' lifestyles.
Projected expenses for a 10 month period in Israel are estimated at $10,000 in
addition to tuition. This figure is based on estimates for a round-trip flight from North America, rent, Hebrew ulpan, medical insurance, books, bills, food, and
miscellaneous expenses.
The tuition listed above for part-time students with Professional Development Internships the extra fee they pay to the Jewish Coalition for Service.
